Designer Homewares Styling

There are a plethora of trendy homewares to chose from all throughout Australia

But how can you know which ones are the best?

Colors, patterns, and textures, as well as the power of fabric to transform a room with a new throw on the sofa or

bed cover, new cushion covers, or a hand-woven runner on a dining table, is a skill that some people develop over time

and others have a natural knack for.

Choosing the right home wares for a room is sometimes overlooked as the final step in the interior design process, but

it is actually a crucial component of the process.

Color, texture, richness, and an overall aesthetic are all provided by the correct home wares.

In one of my Interior Design Academy tutorials, I learned that "Because the sense of ‘feel' connects the visual and tactile

worlds, the texture is crucial.

Consider velvet's plushness, linen's crispness, lace's delicacy, satin's smoothness, and Hessian's coarseness."

Home wares for space are best considered when the room's design is being planned.

Home wares can be chosen to match a color palette, mood, and style that has been established for any area.

Choosing home wares can be a lot of fun, especially with so many options for cushions, lights, artwork, rugs, beds, and

more.

Here are a few pointers I've learned about using home wares to style a room:

1.Make a Focal Point in the Space that Draws Everyone's Attention

If your walls are neutral, start with a focal point, such as a piece of artwork or furniture, and build from there with

complementing home wares.

Using colorful or textured pillows or throws that bring the room to life are just as interesting as a piece of artwork,

a splash of color may also be perceived as the focal point.

2.Invest in a Striking Rug

Rugs are not only a practical item of decor that adds comfort to practically any space, but they are also a vital part of a

room's appearance.

Make space your own, but don't overdo it. Choose pieces that complement one another and have a personal story to tell,

not just because you like them.

3.Use a Variety of Textures

As an artwork, consider soft velvet couches, tasseled rugs, old cotton wall art, or ceramic dishes. Keeping your color

palette consistent while altering textures can be all you need to achieve the perfect look for your room.

Look for one-of-a-kind designer home wares that will stand the test of time rather than needing to be replaced every

year.

Designer home wares are typically designed with durability in mind, making them durable and long-lasting.

The list might go on forever, but this is just the beginning.
